Career Development

We emphasise the two core elements that comprise academic careers - Specialist Knowledge required to develop research, teaching and engagements excellence, and Community & Culture created through our practice: our inclusive approach, our respect for colleagues and students, respect for ourselves, to enable the flourishing of academic lives.

We offer development programmes and events across all career stages and types. These map onto our BAM Framework, which is designed to help our members navigate their careers.

In the British Academy of Management we embrace all career levels and stages, including those who have reached seniority and those who are not seeking additional seniority but who are settled in their career role and are looking to embrace other aspects of their work, such as service to the field or their university.
