Nic Beech is Vice-Chancellor of Middlesex University having previously been a Vice-Principal of the University of St Andrews, Provost of the University of Dundee and Lead Fellow of the ESRC Advanced Institute of Management. He is President of the British Academy of Management, Hon. Treasurer of the Academy of Social Sciences, Chair of the UK Standing Committee for Quality Assessment, Chair of AccessHE and on the board of the UK Quality Assurance Agency, London Higher and the Chartered Management Institute Race Network. He has a particular interest in the role of education in social mobility and economic participation, and in inclusive innovation. His research focused on identity, diversity, change leadership and learning and he has held visiting chairs in the UK, Europe and Australia. Nic has been awarded fellowships or companionships of the British Academy of Management, the Academy of Social Sciences, the Royal Society of Arts, the Chartered Management Institute, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and the Australia and New Zealand Academy of Management.

Quinetta M. Roberson is the John A. Hannah Distinguished Professor of Management and Psychology at Michigan State University. Prior to her current position, she was an endowed chair at Villanova University and a tenured professor at Cornell University. She has also been a visiting scholar at universities on every continent, except for Antarctica, and served an appointment as Program Director of the Science of Organizations at the National Science Foundation (NSF). She currently serves as Immediate Past President of the Academy of Management (AOM) for 2021-2022.
Professor Roberson’s research interests focus on developing organizational capability and enhancing effectiveness through the strategic management of people, particularly diverse work teams. Her research has appeared in such journals as the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Annals, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Organizational Research Methods and Personnel Psychology. Professor Roberson was an Associate Editor at the Journal of Applied Psychology (2008-2014) and edited a Handbook of Diversity in the Workplace published by Oxford Press.
Professor Roberson has over 20 years of experience teaching courses and workshops globally on diversity, leadership, and talent management. To translate her research into action, Dr. Roberson provides professional advice and guidance to for-profit and non-profit organizations on creating value and delivering on business strategy through diversity and inclusion. She also is a two-time TEDx speaker, serves on several corporate boards and advisory councils, and has been recognized as one of the most influential female scholars and scholars of color on social media around issues of responsible business. Sacha Sadan is the first Director of ESG to be appointed at the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority). In this newly created role, reporting to the CEO, Sacha is responsible for embedding ESG across the wide spectrum of the FCA’s regulatory activities. Prior to taking up this role, Sacha spent 10 years as Director of Investment Stewardship, and sat on the board, at Legal & General Investment Management, one of the largest asset managers in the world.
Sacha was recognised in the Financial Times 2017 as one of the ‘30 most influential people in the City of London’. He was previously a UK equity manager at Gartmore where he co-managed a range of UK equity hedge, retail and institutional funds. Dr. Lisa Schurer Lambert is a Professor and William S. Spears Chair of Business at Oklahoma State University. She earned her undergraduate degree and MBA from Northwestern University, and her Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina. Her scholarship has focused on the employment relationship, leadership, and research methods. She is Co-Editor for Organizational Research Methods, and has served on Editorial Boards for the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and the Journal of Business and Psychology. Lisa was Division Chair for the Research Methods Division of the Academy of Management, and is the President of the Southern Management Association. Cary L. Cooper is the 50th Anniversary Professor of Organizational Psychology and Health at Manchester Business School, University of Manchester. He is a founding President of the British Academy of Management, Immediate Past President of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). He was the Founding Editor of the Journal of Organizational Behavior, former Editor of the scholarly journal Stress and Health and is the Editor-in-Chief of the Wiley-Blackwell Encyclopaedia of Management.
Cary has been an advisor to the World Health Organisation, ILO, and EU in the field of occupational health and wellbeing, was Chair of the Global Agenda Council on Chronic Disease of the World Economic Forum (2009-2010) and was Chair of the Academy of Social Sciences 2009-2015. He was Chair of the Sunningdale Institute in the Cabinet Office and National School of Government 2005-2010 and is currently the Chair of the National Forum for Health & Wellbeing at Work.
Professor Cooper is the author/editor of over 250 publications in the field of occupational health psychology, workplace wellbeing, women at work and occupational stress. He was awarded the CBE by the Queen in for his contributions to occupational health; and in 2014 he was awarded a Knighthood for his contribution to the social sciences.
Marilyn Comrie is an award-winning entrepreneur, green tech innovator and social justice campaigner. She is a director of motorsport STEM education provider The Blair Project, principal founder of the Black United Representation Network which exists to tackle racial inequalities in Greater Manchester through wealth generation, and CEO of the Manchester Innovation Activities Hub (MIAH).
The MIAH, which opened in April 2022 within Manchester Science Park, will accelerate clean growth by upskilling and reskilling people to fast-track them into hard-to-fill roles that require specialist technical skills. It will also provide access to industrial-grade equipment and technical expertise to help SMEs repivot, prototype and manufacture clean growth products, and scale up to achieve sustainable growth.Heiner Evanschitzky is Professor and Chair of Marketing at Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester (UK). He holds a PhD in technology policy and innovation (awarded by Aston University) and a BSc in economics/industrial relations (Cardiff University). His research concerns the contribution of users to innovation in and growth of the renewable energy sector, and problems of institutional change relating to sustainable consumption and production. At the start of his career, Audley won a joint ESRC/EPSRC doctoral studentship, whilst his last major project (‘ENERGISE’) was funded by the European Commission Horizon 2020 initiative. She currently heads up the Responsible and Sustainable Business Lab (RSB Lab), a Research Centre within Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University, UK, is an Extraordinary Professor at the Gordon Institute of Business Science, University of Pretoria. She also holds a Visiting Professorship at Copenhagen Business School, funded by an Otto Mønsteds Fellowship. Between 2015-2020, she held the Coca-Cola Chair of Sustainability at IEDC-Bled in Slovenia on a part-time basis, and has been a visiting professor at HEC, ESCP-Europe, EDHEC and IAE in France. Palie Smart is the current Head of the School of Management at the University of Bristol and Professor of Operations Management. Palie has 25 years of interdisciplinary experience rooted in social sciences, business and management and engineering, culminating in over 90 publications with over 14,000 Google Scholar citations (August 2022). She has a high international academic standing in the scholarly community and published in top internationally ranked journals including Research Policy, British Journal of Management, Journal of Product Innovation Management (Awarded Best Paper of the Year, 2019) and International Journal of Operations and Production Management (Won Emerald Group Publishing Top 10 Prize). Her work on Systematic Reviews and Evidence-based Management has made significant methodological contributions to the field of Management and Organization Studies, leading to changes in academic practices. This work has gained further impact in other fields including psychology, education, medicine, health sciences and has become the most highly cited in the British Journal of Management’s history.
Palie has been Principal and Co-Investigator on a number of UKRI grants with the most recent being EPSRC Centre for Excellence in Innovative Manufacturing in Industrial Sustainability (£5.2m). Her work on Industrial Sustainability was cited in the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Digitalisation Review (Made Smarter), and she has advised on the BEIS Made Smarter Commission activities via the Economic and Social Science Research Council (ESRC), Policy Connect and Royal Academy of Engineering (RAE), All-Party Parliamentary Manufacturing Group (APMG) and Innovate UK/ESRC National Innovation Caucus. She has supported diversity and inclusion agendas at the University of Bristol, is an active participant in British Academy of Mangement’s academic study on the lived experiences of minority ethnic female leaders in business schools and led The FTSE 100 Women in Manufacturing EEF Report launched with the former Secretary of State for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS), the Rt Hon.
