Session theme: How to Manage Writer’s Stress and Anxiety as Doctoral Students
Managing stress and worry while writing a PhD paper can be a difficult but manageable task. Earning a PhD may be a demanding and exhausting process, with many students feeling overwhelmed by their program's requirements and the pressure they face. The purpose of this presentation is to give you hope and encouragement that it is possible to get through the PhD journey with peace and harmony by employing a few easy stress-management practices.
Stress and anxiety is described as a condition that includes emotional fatigue and low personal goal attainment.
The Resilience Model proposes that developing resilience can improve stress and anxiety management.
Examples; STRESS in refugee camps
Strategies: Building social relationships, Cultivating a positive self-image and Practice problem-solving skills.

This session will be presented by Zipporah Metto, a PhD student and part-time lecturer at Moi University.

Zipporah Metto is a PhD student at Moi University's Department of Management Sciences. Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP). She served as a volunteer at the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM), North Rift Branch, Kenya.
Zipporah took part in HRIC, participating in two Employment and Labor Relations Symposiums, participate in community outreaches, academy of management-HR division and involved in local HR forums. Her recent article is an empirical study of HRM systems undertaken in the United States, Lebanon, and Kenya. Her ongoing study involves Career and Sustainability in Kenya, the African Context.
