Staged by the BAM Management, Knowledge and Education Sub Committee
Join us for the BAM MKE webinar on 30 April, where Dr. Emma Thirkell will introduce you to the exciting world of Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL) through the innovative use of OneNote escape rooms. In this interactive session, Emma will explore how escape rooms can transform teaching and learning, offering an engaging and effective pedagogical tool that fosters critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Participants will receive a practical, step-by-step guide to designing and implementing these immersive learning experiences in their own teaching practice. The session will feature the showcase of “The Assessment Escape” - a real-world example demonstrating how escape rooms can be integrated into assessment tasks and modules to engage students in active learning. This fun and practical example will highlight how escape rooms can be used to deepen student understanding while enhancing collaboration.
Participants will leave with practical strategies and creative ideas for incorporating escape rooms and other game-based learning approaches into their teaching, creating innovative, student-centred experiences that encourage deeper engagement and learning.
