LinkedIn is a powerful tool for disseminating work outputs, enhancing impact, sharing education-related expertise and keeping up to date with your peers. However, for many of us, talking about our own successes might feel overwhelming and uncomfortable. In addition to this, many of us are not clear on what we want to be known for, while taking time to work on LinkedIn presence may feel like a real chore.
LinkedIn for Educators is a highly interactive, “hands-on” e-workshop that aims to help academic colleagues grow their network, establish their personal brand and extend impact of teaching and research using LinkedIn.

Rushana Khusainova is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing, Education Lead for Marketing and Consumption academic group and a Programme Director for part-time executive MSc Strategy, Change and Leadership at the University of Bristol Business School.
Rushana’s professional interest lie in the area of personal brand and visibility, and she delivers workshops for researchers and educators on the use of LinkedIn for career development. Rushana is a qualified coach, passionate about the use of coaching in supporting and mentoring colleagues and students and development of soft skills and growth mindset.

Kate Black is a Professor of Management Learning and Education at Northumbria University.
Following an early career as a Marine Ecologist at a Field Centre in rural Pembrokeshire, Kate moved into HR management (Recruitment and Development) within retail management. Her key role was to implement the recruitment and development strategy during a period when the branch was under considerable strain both locally in terms of staffing availability, and as a result of changing sales strategies.
Kate joined Northumbria Business School in Summer 2014 following 10 years at the University of Chester, latterly within Chester Business School. She currently holds the role of Director of Education within the Business School
Kate is also the Co-Vice Chair for the BAM Management, Knowledge and Education sub-committee.

Payment for the event must be received before the start date of the event concerned. Access will not be permitted to the event if full payment has not been received.
Cancellations
Cancellations received within 14 days of booking your place on the event will receive a full refund.
Cancellations received after the 14-day cancellation period and later than 14 days before the start date of the event will not be eligible for a refund.
Although we endeavour to run all events as advertised, BAM reserves the right to cancel any event if, for example, there are not enough people to justify running the event or if other significant unforeseen circumstances arise.
