This is the first ever joint event of the Academy of Management (AOM) and British Academy of Management (BAM). It is brought to you by the AOM Human Resources Division Ambassadors and the BAM Human Resource Management SIG.

Emma Parry is Professor of Human Resource Management and Head of the Changing World of Work Group at Cranfield University. Her research focuses on the impact of the changing external context on managing people, particularly in relation to technological advancement, national context and workforce attitudes. She has published several books and numerous papers in these areas.
Emma has also worked with organisations across the public, private and not-for-profit sector and is a regular speaker and commentator on HRM practice. She was named in the top 5 Most Influential HR Thinkers by HR Magazine in 2022.
Emma is Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences (AcSS) and British Academy of Management (BAM), Academic Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) and Honorary Fellow of the Institute for Employment Studies (IES).
She is Co-Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Human Resource Management and currently serves as Chair of BAM.

Professor Peter A. Bamberger is the Domberger Professor of Management at Tel Aviv University’s Coller School of Management, and Research Director of Cornell’s Smithers Institute.
His research examines rewards management, teamwork, and employee wellbeing. Author of several books including Human Resource Strategy (Taylor & Francis, 2024) and Exposing Pay (Oxford, 2023), Bamberger has published over 100 referred journal articles. An elected Fellow of the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology and the Academy of Management, he served as an associate editor of Academy of Management Journal, and editor-in-chief of Academy of Management Discoveries.
He currently serves as President of the Academy of Management.

Dr. Madeleine Stevens (formerly Petzer) is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader in Human Resource Management at Liverpool John Moores University, UK. She is a Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD), Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and Paralegal Society (Specialist Employment Law).
She is also a Chartered member of the British Psychological Society. Her research focusses on mitigating the negative impact of redundancies on organisations and individuals as well as promoting the pedagogy of innovative and experiential learning.

Dr Margarita Nyfoudi is an Associate Professor of Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour at University of Birmingham. Her current research focuses on working conditions during crisis, workplace learning, coaching, and direct employee voice. She is predominantly interested in the individual, team level and cross-level characteristics that influence the effectiveness of core management processes. She has a wide portfolio of teaching expertise in HRM and OB at all levels of Higher Education (Undergraduate, Master, MBA, and PhD), while she has previously worked at Aston and Birmingham City University. She leads the ‘Trust and Workplace Dialogue’ Stream of the Work Inclusivity Research Centre (WIRC), is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Chartered member of CIPD.

Dr Hai Dang Nguyen is a Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management. She is a UK ambassador for the HR Division of the US Academy of Management.
Hai Dang's research interests centre around HRM, where she primarily focuses on the two organisational aspects that are (1) the quality of work and (2) how employees are motivated at work.
Her research investigates formative processes deployed in organisations that value individual and team performances. She also investigates the role of line managers in boosting positive attitudes and behaviours such as resilience, innovation, and creative ideas from employees.
Her work has been published in Journal of Business Management and presented at leading international conferences such as the Academy of Management and British Academy of Management.
