Staged by the BAM Gender in Management (GiM) Special Interest Group
Understanding gender, sexuality and identity diversity continues to be a challenge in organizations. The CIPD (2021) has reported that many organizations have been slow to make progress in fostering inclusive workplace cultures where inclusive policies and practices are developed and applied sensitively and respectfully. Against a backdrop of visible and invisible instances of inequality, discrimination and marginalization, this panel discussion has the aim of fostering dialogue about LGBTQIA+ workers and their workplace experiences.
The panel is looking to bring theoretical, methodological, and empirical thinking that helps to shape inclusive scholarship, teaching, learning and praxis. The questions guidance this panel discussion are:
CIPD (2021) Inclusion at work: Perspectives on LGBT+ working lives.
