Professor Nic Beech is Vice-Chancellor of Middlesex University having previously been a Vice-Principal of the University of St Andrews, Provost of the University of Dundee and Lead Fellow of the ESRC Advanced Institute of Management. He is a former President of the British Academy of Management, Hon. Treasurer of the Academy of Social Sciences, Chair of the UK Standing Committee for Quality Assessment, Chair of AccessHE and on the board of the UK Quality Assurance Agency, London Higher and the Chartered Management Institute Race Network.
He has a particular interest in the role of education in social mobility and economic participation, and in inclusive innovation. His research focused on identity, diversity, change leadership and learning and he has held visiting chairs in the UK, Europe and Australia. Nic has been awarded fellowships or companionships of the British Academy of Management, the Academy of Social Sciences, the Royal Society of Arts, the Chartered Management Institute, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and the Australia and New Zealand Academy of Management.
Professor Beech begins his term as President of International Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management (IFSAM) at the beginning of 2025.

Professor Rachel Ashworth served as Dean and Head of Cardiff Business School for six years until September 2024 and is now a Professor in Public Services Management. Her research can be viewed in relation to four key themes: organizational and institutional change in the public sector; scrutiny and accountability in public services, equality and diversity in public services and public service performance.
She has published in journals including Journal of Public Administration, Research and Theory, Journal of Management Studies, British Journal of Management, Public Administration, Policy and Politics and Public Management Review. She recently co-edited 'Theorising Contemporary Public Management Research: International and Comparative Perspectives', a special issue of the British Journal of Management and also co-edited 'Public Service Improvement: Theories and Evidence' (Oxford University Press, 2010).
Professor Ashworth will begin her term as President-Elect of International Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management (IFSAM) at the beginning of 2025.

Dr Sahar Bakr is a Senior Lecturer and Researcher in Marketing at Nottingham Trent University.
A pharmacist by background she holds an MSc in Biotechnology and Entrepreneurship and a PhD in Business and management from the University of Nottingham which focuses on consumer use of smart devices in the context of health, fitness and self-tracking.
Sahar spent time in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry as a Product Manager, where she managed several social media campaigns and worked with organisations to launch both consumer (B2C), and medical-grade (B2B) products successfully in the MENA region.
Her experience in industry has formed the basis of her teaching ethos which is centred around the power of industry-focused marketing education and the application of theoretical concepts, to real-life situations.
Dr Bakr will begin her term as Vice-President Communications and Events of International Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management (IFSAM) at the beginning of 2025.
