Professor Dermot Breslin FBAM 'excited to take on this role with the BAM Peer Review College'
We are pleased to announce that Dr Dermot Breslin FBAM, Professor of Organizational Behavior at Rennes School Of Business is the new Dean of the BAM Peer Review College for 2025-2028.
Professor Breslin takes over from inaugural Dean Professor Yehuda Baruch from the University of Southampton, who will step down at the end of 2024 when his term in office comes to an end.
Professor Breslin says:
"I am excited to take on this role with the BAM Peer Review College (PRC). Peer review is the cornerstone of quality in academic research, but it has come under increasing strain in recent years. On the demand side, there has been a dramatic rise in the number of articles submitted to peer-reviewed journals, leading to an increased demand for reviewers.
On the supply side, academics are under growing pressure to teach, publish, secure funding, and demonstrate impact. The PRC has been instrumental in tackling these challenges, enhancing capacity and career development through various activities. My vision for the college is to advance this crucial work in collaboration with its members and fellows, addressing peer review challenges that impact authors, reviewers, editors, publishers, and academic institutions".
